Program Outline

The following information is a general outline of the Family Enrichment Community Learning Center's code of conduct and operational guideline. All individuals and family units interested in receiving service from the F.E.C.L.C. are encouraged to read and understand it in its entirety before agreeing to becoming a participant in our program. Attendance and Tardiness.
Attendance is recorded for each class. Students are scored for both attendance and punctuality. Roll-call usually ends at 10 minutes after the hour for each class session. Students are considered tardy if they show up after ten minutes past the hour. Participants are usually allowed a maximum of 2 incidents of tardiness. A third incident Is scored as an unexcused absence. Each student is allowed one incident of unexcused absence. A second unexcused absence constitutes sufficient grounds for dismissal from the program as such occurrences most likely result in such a students falling too far behind the rest of the class to be able to keep up with this fast-paced, interactive learning environment. Discipline. Continues to emphasize to all participants that all training, classes and benefits are been offered at no cost to participants, however, the program and it benefits are by no means free, or without value. Program administrators therefore STRONGLY mandates the following simple code of conduct: All parents/guardians/students/applicants MUST conduct themselves in an orderly manner in order to be considered qualified/eligible to continue to receive the training and benefits from this program. Under no circumstance will there be any allowance made for insubordination, disrespectful attitude, fowl language, disruptive conduct or lewd behavior. Inappropriate chatter, side-shows, and other distractions MUST be checked at the door. Any failure or refusal to comply to the above stated code of conduct constitutes grounds for removal from the program, with no exceptions or equivocation\n. Program Quality and Dress Code. All parents/guardians/students/applicants are expected to carry themselves in a professional manner, consistent with at least that of technicians employed in the aspired- to technology related positions. Because of the nature of the program, and the assumption on the part of the program provider that parents/guardians/students/applicants appreciate the tremendous blessings afforded to them by being allowed to participate in this program, The F.E.C.L.C. program administrators assume that each parents/guardians/students/applicants will see the need to act as partners in helping us to ensure the maintenance of high standards in the quality of our instituted dress code, and the conduct of all participants. All parents/guardians/students/applicants are hereby deputized to assist Instructors and Administrators in this ongoing effort to ensure the safety of equipment and supplies as well as the general upkeep of the building, classrooms and furniture used by the program. Etchings, graffiti (however creative), defacing of furniture or any other acts of vandalism is strictly prohibited. It is a foregone conclusion that all male parents/guardians/students/applicants will wear belts in their pants, where necessary, and, at the very minimum, a shirt and a pair of covered-toe shoes to class in order to be considered eligible to participate in this program. No Tank-Tops/Wife-Beaters, Low-riders etc. allowed. In the same token, all female parents/guardians/students/applicants are expected to wear decent attire and shoes in order to be considered eligible for the Program. Any form of indecent attire provides grounds for immediate dismissal from The Program. For the purpose of this contract, indecent attire is hereby described as follows: Any clothing item allowing for excessive exposure of body parts, example mid-riff shirts/blouses, Low-rider Jeans, Daisy Dukes or Booty-Shorts, Low-cut shirts or blouses and any other clothing item which falls in said category.
Computer Giveaway. All computers worked on throughout the duration of The Program remains the property of The Program Provider, and as such may not be removed from the premises until program completion and graduation ceremony. A this graduation ceremony each participating family which completes all assigned coursework and complied with the program requirements will be awarded one complete computer system (computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse and printer).
Program Participation. Participants Agreements: All participants must acknowledge their understanding of the fact that instructors would rather deal with disciplined students as this would help us to more readily achieve the very ambitious goals and objectives we have for this program. All participants must acknowledge their understanding of the fact that program instructors and administrators will move expeditiously to make examples of violators in order to minimize distractions, while they focus on providing services to the better adjusted participants. All participants must acknowledge their agreement to abide by he rules and regulations outlined above. All participants must acknowledge their understanding of the fact that in the event that they violate the spirit, or details of the contract in any way, shape or form, then they will be dismissed from the program immediately |
