Program Outline

The following information is a general outline of the Family Enrichment Community Learning Center's code of conduct and operational guideline.  All individuals and family  units interested in  receiving service from the F.E.C.L.C. are encouraged to read and understand it in its entirety before agreeing to becoming a participant in our program.

Attendance and Tardiness.
The F.E.C.L.C. provides classes and offer training on Academic Enhancement, Remedial Education, Entrepreneurship, Video Game Development, Computer Assembly, Web Development, Graphics and Computer Animation. Classes typically run for sixteen weeks. Classes are scheduled for two hours per session, twice per week. For a typical class session students would choose one of the following options:

  • 5:30 pm to 7 pm - Mondays and Wednesdays
  • 5:30 pm to 7 pm - Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • 9 am to 1 pm - Saturdays
  • 12 Noon to 4 pm - Saturdays

Attendance is recorded for each class. Students are scored for both attendance and punctuality. Roll-call usually ends at 10 minutes after the hour for each class session. Students are considered tardy if they show up after ten minutes past the hour.

Participants are usually allowed a maximum of 2 incidents of tardiness. A third incident

Is scored as an unexcused absence. Each student is allowed one incident of unexcused absence. A second unexcused absence constitutes sufficient grounds for dismissal from the program as such occurrences most likely result in such a students falling too far behind the rest of the class to be able to keep up with this fast-paced, interactive learning environment.
