Barrett Technologies Consulting, Inc
A nine year old Web Development firm based in Cutler Ridge (South Miami); Barrett Technologies specializes in delivering state of the art web development services, which includes eye-catching, and effective flash animations, interactive multimedia website development, web application programming, database-to-web integration, e-commerce and e-business solutions, internet marketing, graphic design, and professional search engine registration.
Our portfolio include local clients, here in Florida as well as clients as far away as Washington D.C., Texas, Baltimore, Maryland, New Jersey and London-England.
Barrett Technologies’ community outreach initiative is designed to serve as a community development agency, with special interest in formulating, operating and franchising programs aimed at improving the lives and prospects of inner-city youth living within underserved neighborhoods, by addressing the needs of the complete family (personal, educational and economic).
Founded by Andrew Barrett, Barrett Technologies is a non-traditional, forward-thinking, technology-based organization, on a mission to inspire low-income youth and families to become outstanding achievers, through the use of unconventional program planning and design, applied in a practical, common sense approach. Our community outreach experience and program planning initiatives led us to conclude that a great deal of the disciplinary and academic setbacks experienced by students encompassed by our target group (disadvantaged youth and families, formerly homeless and those at risk of homelessness, formerly-incarcerated) could be substantially alleviated by the introduction of more innovative, nontraditional learning techniques. With this in mind I founded the Family Enrichment Community Learning Center, Inc. (F.E.C.L.C.).
F.E.C.L.C. is a full-service community school, offering programs and services aimed at personal development for the entire family focused on the following three areas:
- Skills Training for DIRECT Work-Force Readiness
- College Preparation And Remedial Education
- Entrepreneurship Education, Employment-Internship, and Small Business Incubation
Community Outreah Program Structure/Overview: Our's is a unique opportunity for the entire community. Our uniqueness lies in the fact that we incorporate several faucets of youth and family development and empowerment under one roof. Structured with the requisite balance of sophistication and depth, these services still remain customizable in order to address the concerns and opportunities for growth and devlopment in each individual we seek to serve. We always strive to maintain sensitivity to our participants' wide varieties of circumstances, backgrounds and cultures.
We have developed a module of programs and services which are ready to be exported and integrated into public school board systems, and other educational entities (such as private and charter schools) across the nation, and are currently in the process of doing just that, through the newly formed Family Enrichment Community Learning Center, Inc. (F.E.C.L.C.).
